Redesigning the Zookal Study Homework Help Mobile App

Summary
"Zookal Study provides a wide range of study tools such as homework help, solutions library, flashcards and more. There is currently a mobile app but has low user engagement and doesn’t fit with the current design system and style.
We want to leave a more memorable impression of Zookal Study on new users and get them to experience value from the app for the first time and beyond by delivering an amazing first-use experience, implementing a new navigation and home, improving the usability and integrating more study tools to the app. This mobile app was built on React Native"
Challenge
We need to bring some attention to the first-use experience and prompt more user engagement with an app redesign. Ultimately, we want an app that is fit to compete with other apps in the SEA market so that we can establish the Zookal Study app as a solid user acquisition channel that drives and retains engaged users in the long run.
Hypothesis
We believe that by delivering an improved app experience and integrating more study tools onto the app we will:
1. Be in a stronger position to compete in the SEA education app market
2. Get more engaged app subscribers
3. Improve cross-platform product usage and discovery
4. Improve stickiness/usage frequency

Success metrics
We will know if we're right if we see:
1. Increase the proportion of user app engagement
2. Increase weekly app engagement retention
3. Increase conversion rates from trial-to-paid
